Director, Regulatory Affairs
Victoria Marsh is Director of Regulatory Affairs at Boyds.
Victoria has over 20 years’ experience in regulatory affairs and R&D, and as Boyds’ Director of Regulatory Affairs she provides regulatory advice and support throughout the full product life cycle and across a range of therapeutic areas for advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs), biological and new chemical entities.
A specialist in molecular biology and protein biochemistry, Victoria has regulatory experience across the full product lifecycle from Phase I clinical trials through to licence maintenance for marketed products and has worked with and for companies who are developing new chemical entities, biotechnology, gene therapy and orphan medicinal products.
Before moving into regulatory affairs, Victoria worked as part of the Human Genome Project at the Sanger Centre and in 2005 obtained a PhD in Biochemistry from Cambridge University.
In 2006, she joined Gregory Fryer Associates as a Regulatory Scientist, where she gained experience in reviewing and preparing regulatory submission documentation for the EU and FDA for clinical trial applications and maintenance, as well as orphan drug designation applications. Victoria became a Regulatory Consultant in 2009, expanding her skillset to include business development and quoting projects for potential clients, as well as in-house training and line management of regulatory professionals.
Victoria joined MedImunne Limited/AstraZeneca in 2011, and was global regulatory lead for a late stage MEK inhibitor for the orphan indication neurofibromatosis type 1 and early phase CD40 agonist and plasmid DNA vaccines. She was also European regulatory lead for an irreversible EGFR-TKI in advanced NSCLC and for several products within Respiratory, Inflammation and Autoimmune disease areas.
Victoria has a B.Sc. in Applied BioScience with Honours in Molecular Biology and a PhD in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry. She is a member of TOPRA (The Organisation for Professionals in Regulatory Affairs).
