Evolution of Ethical Principles in the Practice of Pharmaceutical Medicine From a UK Perspective

Professor Alan Boyd has co-authored a paper which looks at ethical principles in the practice of pharmaceutical medicine, published this month in Frontiers in Pharmacology.

The paper, ‘Evolution of Ethical Principles in the Practice of Pharmaceutical Medicine from a UK Perspective’ looks at how pharmaceutical medicine has evolved to be a distinct medical scientific discipline. It also explores the challenges of combining professionalism and commercialisation to focus on the strict adherence to ethical standards, guidelines, practices and behaviours in the interest of ensuring new, effective, high-quality medicines are delivered to patients.

The paper was co-authored by Thomas Morris, Joshua Brostoff, Peter David Stonier and Alan Boyd. To read the article in full, click here.
